Yamchuk met a delegation of the Rothschild Foundation in Lviv. The meeting took place on the initiative of the Foundation in the process of evaluation of the project for the support of the museum's collection and the creation of our own Internet resource, which was realized in 2010. For this project the Rothschild Foundation awarded our museum with a grant of £7000. As the application for the Rothschild Foundation grant contest was submitted by the Association of Jewish Organizations and Communities (VAAD) of Ukraine, Joseph Zissels, who is the chairman of this association as well as the main initiator of the creation of the Jewish Museum in Chernivtsi, also took part in the meeting.

The representatives of the museum informed the delegation with a presentation in detail about the results of the work and about problems, plans and perspectives for the further development of the museum in Chernivtsi. The delegation included Rothschild Foundation board members as well as experienced specialists in museology and Jewish studies from different countries of the world, who took vivid interest in the history and various aspects of our museum's activities and expressed their high estimation for the project. Members of the delegation shared their experience in the field of museum work and expressed their wish to visit the city at the river Pruth in the future.

For the team of the Chernivtsi Museum the meeting in Lviv was extremely important and useful. It was not only a way to get new experience, but also a good opportunity for us to evaluate our own work and to show that we are a reliable partner and responsible recipient of international grants.
