The exhibition "Motherland Word", dedicated to the 110th birthday of the world-renowned poet Rose Auslander.

The Museum of the History and Culture of Bukovinian Jews invites you to the exhibition "Motherland Word", dedicated to the 110th birthday of the world-renowned poet Rose Auslander, who was born in Chernivtsi. The opening of the exhibition will take place on the 19th of May 2011 at 3 pm in the entrance hall of the cinema "Chernivtsi" (former Jewish Temple). The exhibition, which was prepared in close cooperation with the center "Gedankendach", and the German foundation "Rose Ausländer Stiftung" and with support of the Austrian organization "Perspectiv.east" and the Chernivtsi culture point "East center", is part of a broad program of events devoted to the celebration of this memorable day. The exhibition is to be opened every day till the 31st of May from 10 am till 7 pm. Entrance is free.

During the exhibition the documentary film "The dream will live my life to the end" (Germany 2010, Regie: Katharina Schubert) will be screened in the small hall of the cinema. The film describes the main periods of the unusual life of the poet - one of the most famous representatives of the specific Jewish world of pre-war Chernivtsi that does not exist anymore.

Screenings of the film will take place on the 19th, 24th and 30th of May at 3 pm. Additional performances can be booked.
