Participants of the School for Young Leaders on Excursion through the Museum

On the 30th of October the Chernivtsi Museum of the History and Culture of Bukovinian Jews was visited by the particpants of the School for Young Leaders which was held in Chernivtsi oblast from the 29th of October to the 5th of November. The Chernivtsi School "Steps towards each other" was organisied by the Congress of National Communities of Ukraine with financial support of the embassy of Germany in Ukraine. This school was dedicated to issues of tolerance and mutual understanding, to problems of respect for human rights, way to overcome xenophobia in multiethnic societies.
The visit to the Museum of the History and Culture of Bukovinian Jews was an important part of their program. Based on the museum's exhibition, Joseph Zissels, the Chairman of the General Council of the Euro-Asian Jewish Congress, told the guests (the school participants) about the development of tolerant interethnic relations in Bukovina.
